Meet Our Team.

Teams don't work without teamwork. And good teamwork creates synergy.
Here at Strategic Moves, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Viswa Sadasivan
CEO

To put it shortly, Viswa is a patriot. He believes in serving his country until his “knees buckle” – something he takes perhaps a little too literally. His knees have indeed started to buckle! He stepped down from active National Service in March 2018, after being an NSman with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) for 40 years.

A former anchor of news and current affairs programmes such as Talking Point and Today in Parliament, Viswa thrived on asking inconvenient – oftentimes provocative – questions while sharing insights about Singapore society. His aim: to “lift the thinking”. 25 years on, he has the same preoccupation. Except now, his audience has shifted from star-struck aunties to public and private sector leaders.

Clearly surpassing his other achievements, his proudest moment was when his daughter was born. Viswa strongly believes in pursuing a healthy work-life balance, although his work ethic never leaves him. Going for every ball in tennis – twice a week for two decades – he’s had some sobering lessons on ageing! It has forced him to explore other options, such as swimming and cycling, while playing tennis age-appropriately.

Viswa graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (Political Science) degree. He also holds a Master in Public Administration degree from the Kennedy School of Government and Administration, Harvard University.

JENNY SEET

general manager

Jenny has been with Strategic Moves for more than a decade. She is responsible for general office management and all administrative functions. Essentially, she oversees the smooth running of operations in the company; from orientating new members of the team to managing the company’s finances and the CEO’s busy schedule. There is no doubt that Jenny forms the backbone of the company.

When Jenny is not busy being well-versed on all office-related processes and procedures, she enjoys watching musical plays and, of course, sipping on a great cup of coffee.

aslam sardar
vice president

Aslam loves to solve problems, and he has been doing just that for the last 20 years. Resilient and an out-of-the-box thinker, there’s hardly a problem that Aslam wouldn’t want to take a crack at solving. This sense of challenge stems from his 20 years of experience as a ‘business builder’. He brings with him years of inter-disciplinary experience, bridging shipping and 3rd party logistics; technology and education; and sports and media. His work spanned across a multitude of corporations, large and small.

As an entrepreneur, he co-founded a boutique training and consultancy firm and led the growth and expansion of the start-up from a 2-man founder team to an organisation that managed over 20 trainers. He has personally trained over 4,000 senior executives and is sought after as a trainer in Strategic Negotiations, Boardroom Presentation, and Leadership. More recently, Aslam served as a Vice President with ST Engineering Electronics, where he established new growth opportunities in the education and sports sectors. In addition, he led the ICT Masterplan consultancy for a key public sector training academy.

Aslam derives satisfaction from mentoring the next generation of trail blazers. He seeks ways to give back to society through grassroots work, such as serving as the convenor of the SustainableSG Collective, and the organising chairman for the Jurong Arts & Music Fest in Taman Jurong. He received the Public Service Medal at the 2016 National Day Awards.

Aslam holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Aslam is a fitness enthusiast who believes the key to maintaining his weight is to calorie count and exercise regularly, something some has said borders obsession.

Justin chua

Associate consultant

Justin reads philosophy to untangle the complexities of life. He takes the view that things are transient in life and he should always live life to the fullest, live each day as though it’s his last. Against the advice of his peers to take a break after graduation, he took up projects that gave him a taste of what it’s like to be a journalist and spent two months working in the dorms taking care of migrant workers.

During his spare time, he reads history, politics, and philosophy books. He’s also into J-pop and manga, and is  a fan of the 20-year-old manga — One Piece. Who doesn’t want to be a Pirate King? Occasionally, when the weather is good, you can also find Justin hiking at Bukit Timah Hill or MacRitchie Reservoir.

Justin joined Strategic Moves in the hope of being an effective consultant who can make a positive difference to his clients. He likes the company’s mission – to lift thinking – and looks forward to engaging clients in Strategic Moves’ unique style.

Justin graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelors in Social Science (Honours) in Political Science and Southeast Asian Studies.
